A Word from The Editor
Many thanks to everyone who sent me encouraging emails and texts during my writing hiatus. It has truly been as the famous saying goes, the best of times and the worst of times. But now, I'm back, refreshed, reinvigorated and ready to take up the reins of my beloved website.
I would like to take this opportunity to tie up a few strings. Earlier this year, I shut down Christian Writer and Reader e-zine because I simply did not have the resources to make it the success I believed it would be. Inwardly, I'd hoped to resurrect the e-zine in the very near future. After much soul-searching, I've come to the decision not to resurrect it. Instead, I've decided to dedicate all my resources and time to this website, Christian Writer. A few years ago, I made a promise to myself that it would be the best resource website for Christian writers and somewhere along the line, in the midst of my personal and professional turmoil over the last few months, that promise has slacked somewhat. Not that it has deterred the numbers of people visiting the site everyday. They number 100s as opposed to the 1000s that used to visit pre-April but with God's grace and a lot of hard work, we'll get there again.
I'm still asked by people if I make any money from Christian Writer website. The answer is 'No'. This website is a ministry and I offer it to you, the visitors as a thank you for coming by and for trusting me to give you the right information to help you on your writing journey. I know that not everybody that visits the site is a Christian and to be honest with you, that doesn't bother me in the least. I'm just glad that you popped by. If you've found the website useful, tell others. If not, then tell me. I'm not and will never be perfect but I can try to make this site the best it can possibly be.
I will be hard at work over the next few months working on the site and my new novel. You can follow the novel's progress on the Christian Writer UK blog and the soon to be launched Eyo blog, which is a blog of the novel's main character.
Above all, I'm pleased to be back, to be doing what I love best - serving God and His people through words.
God bless you and your writing journey. |
